Although Clay performs solo three times a week, he does have a smokin' four piece band. Right now, Sid McArthur is on bass guitar, Tony Beck on drums and Forrest Lee Jr on guitar.. Past members of Clay's band include Wayne "Animal" Turner of Hank Jr's band, K.W. Turnbow from the Chris LeDoux band, Clinton Gregory, Ira Dean who played with Tanya Tucker and is now in Trick Pony, Daniel Blank who played with Johnny Paycheck and Trick Pony, Pat McInerny who played with Don Williams and is now with Nancy Griffith and many other exceptional musicians.
